Oppenheimer Holdings had a strong return, with excellent growth even in segments that might have suffered in Q2 with the dealmaking snag and market volatility. It grew across all its segments, even those that in a mature player would be showing signs of cyclicality. Higher rates would also be good for their high-margin sweep deposit income, but that's an incoming consideration.

(NYSE: OPY) (the "Company" or "Firm") today reported net income of $27.4 million or $2.55 basic earnings per share for the second quarter of 2026, compared with net income of $21.7 million or $2.06 basic earnings per share for the second quarter of 2025.
